Estimator / Project Manager

The Estimator/Project Manager position is in the Fabrication and Installation of Food and Beverage Processing Equipment Industry including processing and packaging equipment; sanitary conveyors, piping, seasoning equipment, platforms and material handling systems.

This will include coordinating with our Design and Fabrication Teams to scheduling the work, preparing and monitoring project budgets. Actively participate in identifying sales opportunities with existing customers as well as new potential customers. Interface with clients, negotiate and hire subcontractor services if applicable, oversee preparation and submission of payment invoices, attend customer meetings, keep customer apprised of budget and scheduling issues, identify, submit and process change orders, job re-cap.

 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Estimating labor and materials for equipment fabrication and installation
  • Reading and understanding blue prints/drawings and specifications
  • Performing material take-offs and competitive pricing
  • Subcontractor and supplier proposal review and valuations
  • Prepare and submit proposals
  • Attend pre-bid and pre-award meetings
  • Manage all facets of awarded projects (shop drawings, fabrication, inspections, purchase orders, scheduling, invoicing, contracts, change orders, deadlines, final project re-cap)
  • Actively interface with others within the company and with customers to ensure a profitable job

Qualifications and Skills:

Must be multi-tasking, highly motivated, goal oriented and able to perform management and control functions required to successfully manage several projects and customer relationships simultaneously.

Must understand the technical aspects of the Fabrication and Install of the Food and Beverage Processing Equipment Industry, be aware of the requirements of subcontractors, while maintaining the negotiating skills to keep the customer satisfied.
  • 5 years minimum experience estimating for a sheet metal/machine shop. Familiar with metal fabricating machinery, welding processes, inspection and assembly of equipment.
  • Experience in manufacturing of process and packaging equipment for the Food and Beverage Industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Auto Cad or other engineering software experience

CAD Mechanical Design

PSG designs, builds and integrates turnkey process and packaging systems for food, beverage, cosmetics, and other industrial applications. We are Looking for an experienced mechanical designer to learn our product line and design new process solutions. This is an interesting and challenging role as PSG designers are involved from start to finish on the projects and can have significant impact. A successful candidate must be able to apply in-depth knowledge, expertise, analytical skills, and creative thinking to adjust processes or approaches to best meet needs/objectives of the project.

Looking for an energetic engineer or technically experienced mechanical designer with conveyors.

 

Must have:

  • Engineering degree or significant technical experience in the industry
  • Be willing to travel at least one week a month

Project Manager

PSG is looking for an experienced Project Manager to learn our product line and manage new process solutions working closely with our design team.  This is an exciting and challenging role as our Project Managers, along with our Sales staff, are the face of our company.  Our Project Managers establish and develop lasting relationships with our customers.  A successful candidate must be able to apply in-depth knowledge, expertise, analytical skills, and creative thinking to manage the process or approaches to best meet the needs/objectives of each project.

  • Millwright experience including installation, dismantling, repairs, reassemble and move machinery when applicable with the ability to read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures

Project Services Group, Inc. is seeking a full time TIG Welder / Fabricator for Process and Packaging Equipment.  We are an established and growing company with the climate controlled shop located in Irving.  PSG is a system integration engineering firm specializing in the Food and Beverage Industry.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must live locally (DFW area)
  • Significant experience working with stainless steel
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience
  • First shift and MUST be willing to work in the field locally
  • Interview requirements include completing a 16 gauge, 304 plate and pipe test (stainless steel)
  • Custom conveyor fabrication and food processing experience a HUGE plus

Traditional Machinist / Sheet Metal Fabricators

PSG is hiring a Machinist (No CNC) / Fabricator to operate a Traditional Machine Shop including metal lathe, mill, drill press, brake press, sheer, roll, saws, and drills for complex stainless steel fabrication.  This is a first shift position.
